Cambridge English: Key (KET) for Schools

The Key to essential English, Key English Test is specifically designed to motivate school-aged learners. It shows a student has mastered the basics in English.The exam focuses on Level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The exam shows you can:

• Understand and use basic phrases and expressions
• Introduce themselves and answer basic questions about their personal details
• Interact with English speakers clearly
• Write short, simple notes

It covers all the four language skills (Reading, writing, listening and speaking) and knowledge of grammar and vocabulary.

This exam formats will be available upto Dec 2019.

A2 key is made up of three papers developed to test your English skills. You can see exactly what is in each paper below.
The new exam formats will start being used from January 2020.
